Bolt payments, add a card checkout to your Bolt app
Bolt builds full stack apps from a prompt and deploys them in minutes. eCom Pay adds the card checkout the same way, one prompt, test cards first, then one key to go live, with a UK team that approves every account and answers the phone.

Frequently asked
Can an app built in Bolt take card payments?
Yes. Create a free test account at the eCom Pay dashboard, paste the eCom Pay prompt into Bolt, and it adds a browser encrypted card form with Apple Pay, Google Pay and 3D Secure. Test with test cards, then swap one key to go live once approved.
How long until a Bolt app can take real payments?
Build and test the same day. Our team reviews new accounts within one working day, and approval lands in 24 hours once your documents are in. Then you swap the test key for the live key.
What if my Bolt app sells something mainstream processors restrict?
eCom Pay works with supplements, CBD, vape, competitions, travel, dating, gaming, education and other specialist sectors, alongside everyday businesses. Tell us what you sell and a specialist confirms the setup.
Your Bolt app works, but the checkout is the one page the AI could not finish?
A checkout needs an approved merchant account behind it, a bank check in the form, confirmation that only fires when the money is real, and refunds that do not run by themselves. The eCom Pay prompt gives Bolt all of that, so the last page gets finished properly.
How Bolt builds, and where the checkout goes
Bolt generates Next.js, Vite or Node apps and deploys them in a click. The eCom Pay card form sits in the checkout page, the server side confirms orders from the signed payment update, and refunds are issued from your dashboard or your own admin screen, never automatically.
How to add card payments to your Bolt app in three steps
Create a test account
Sign up at the eCom Pay dashboard and you are in test mode straight away, with test cards. Nothing goes live until our team has approved your account, usually within one working day.
Paste the prompt into Bolt
Copy the eCom Pay prompt from the docs into your builder. It tells the AI how to add the card form, confirm payments and handle refunds. Test with the test cards until the flow is right.
Swap one key to go live
Once approved, we add your live account details to your dashboard. You swap your test key for the live one. Nothing else in your app changes.
The prompt to paste into Bolt
This is the short version. The full prompt for AI coding assistants, with the test card numbers and the signed update format, is on the docs page.
Add eCom Pay card payments to this app. Follow the integration guide at https://docs.ecompay.co.uk/ exactly. Use my test mode key until I say go live, show the embedded card form on the checkout page, confirm the order only when the signed payment update arrives, and never store card numbers.
What your checkout gets
Built and tested on the eCom Pay gateway. The same checkout whichever tool built your app.
Card details encrypted in the browser
Card numbers are encrypted on the customer's device before they leave the page. Your app and your server never see them, which keeps your build simple and your customers safe.
Embedded form or hosted page
Drop the card form into your own page, or send customers to a ready made eCom Pay checkout page when you would rather not build one.
Apple Pay and Google Pay on one switch
Turn wallets on in your dashboard. No Apple or Google developer setup on your side.
3D Secure handled for you
The bank check, including the frictionless flow, runs inside the form. Nothing extra to build.
Payment links and QR codes
One off or reusable links from the dashboard, with a QR code, WhatsApp sharing and up to three reminder emails until it is paid.
Signed order updates
Every payment, refund and dispute update is signed, so your app can prove it came from eCom Pay before it changes an order.
Refunds only when you choose
Full or partial, from the dashboard or from your own system. Nothing is refunded automatically.
Next working day settlement
Money lands the next working day with no rolling reserve, the standard eCom Pay proposes to every merchant, subject to approval.
Businesses eCom Pay approves on AI built apps
Everyday online businesses, and the specialist sectors that need a specialist. Every account is reviewed by a UK team, not an automated model.
Bolt payments, frequently asked
Does this work with Bolt deployments?
Yes. The card form runs in the browser and the payment updates reach your app over a normal signed webhook, so it works wherever Bolt deploys your app.
Can I take deposits or part payments?
Yes. A deposit is a payment for a fixed amount, and the balance can be taken later by payment link or a second checkout.
Are subscriptions available?
Not on the gateway yet. If recurring billing matters to your app, talk to a specialist and we will set out what is possible today.
Who do I call when I am stuck?
A UK team on 0345 548 0072, 24/7, and support@ecompay.co.uk for anything technical.
