Claude payment gateway, add card payments to apps built with Claude Code
Claude Code builds in whatever stack you give it, which makes it the easiest tool to add payments with. Hand it the eCom Pay docs and the prompt, and it wires the card form, the signed payment updates and the refund flow into your existing code, then tests it against the test cards.

Frequently asked
Which payment gateway works with Claude Code in the UK?
eCom Pay. Create a free test account at the eCom Pay dashboard, give Claude Code the prompt from the docs, and it adds a browser encrypted card form with Apple Pay, Google Pay and 3D Secure to your app. Test with test cards, then swap one key to go live once approved.
Does eCom Pay have an MCP server for Claude?
Yes. Connect it and Claude can work with payment links and payments from the chat, under your account and your two step login. What it can do is listed at docs.ecompay.co.uk.
Is there a prompt I can paste into Claude?
Yes. The prompt for AI coding assistants is on the docs page. It tells Claude how to add the form, confirm orders from signed updates, handle refunds and never store card numbers.
Building with Claude and need a UK payment gateway it can set up on its own?
Claude reads documentation well, so the gateway it integrates best is the one with clear docs, a prompt written for it and an MCP server it can talk to directly. eCom Pay has all three, plus a UK team that approves the account and picks up the phone.
How Claude Code builds, and where the checkout goes
Claude Code works inside your repository, so there is no fixed stack. Node and Python libraries cover the common server sides, the card form drops into any web front end, and the eCom Pay MCP server lets Claude create payment links and check payments from the chat once you connect your account.
How to add card payments to your Claude Code app in three steps
Create a test account
Sign up at the eCom Pay dashboard and you are in test mode straight away, with test cards. Nothing goes live until our team has approved your account, usually within one working day.
Paste the prompt into Claude Code
Copy the eCom Pay prompt from the docs into your builder. It tells the AI how to add the card form, confirm payments and handle refunds. Test with the test cards until the flow is right.
Swap one key to go live
Once approved, we add your live account details to your dashboard. You swap your test key for the live one. Nothing else in your app changes.
The prompt to paste into Claude Code
This is the short version. The full prompt for AI coding assistants, with the test card numbers and the signed update format, is on the docs page.
Add eCom Pay card payments to this app. Follow the integration guide at https://docs.ecompay.co.uk/ exactly. Use my test mode key until I say go live, show the embedded card form on the checkout page, confirm the order only when the signed payment update arrives, and never store card numbers.
What your checkout gets
Built and tested on the eCom Pay gateway. The same checkout whichever tool built your app.
Card details encrypted in the browser
Card numbers are encrypted on the customer's device before they leave the page. Your app and your server never see them, which keeps your build simple and your customers safe.
Embedded form or hosted page
Drop the card form into your own page, or send customers to a ready made eCom Pay checkout page when you would rather not build one.
Apple Pay and Google Pay on one switch
Turn wallets on in your dashboard. No Apple or Google developer setup on your side.
3D Secure handled for you
The bank check, including the frictionless flow, runs inside the form. Nothing extra to build.
Payment links and QR codes
One off or reusable links from the dashboard, with a QR code, WhatsApp sharing and up to three reminder emails until it is paid.
Signed order updates
Every payment, refund and dispute update is signed, so your app can prove it came from eCom Pay before it changes an order.
Refunds only when you choose
Full or partial, from the dashboard or from your own system. Nothing is refunded automatically.
Next working day settlement
Money lands the next working day with no rolling reserve, the standard eCom Pay proposes to every merchant, subject to approval.
Businesses eCom Pay approves on AI built apps
Everyday online businesses, and the specialist sectors that need a specialist. Every account is reviewed by a UK team, not an automated model.
Claude payments, frequently asked
Does this work in the Claude app as well as Claude Code?
Yes. The Claude app can write the integration and the MCP server works with any assistant that supports MCP. Claude Code is the quickest because it edits and tests your code directly.
Which languages are covered?
Node and Python libraries are provided and the API is documented in full, so Claude can integrate from any language that makes HTTPS requests.
Will Claude store card numbers anywhere?
No. The card form encrypts details in the browser and the server refuses plain card numbers, so there is nothing for your app to store.
Can eCom Pro take over a Claude project?
Yes. Projects from Claude and Claude Code are the ones eCom Pro, our sister development company, finishes most often. Quoted per job.
